Courage to Change: Domestic Violence Aggressor
The Domestic Violence Education Program is an eight-week, trauma-informed course designed to help individuals understand the dynamics, impact, and consequences of abusive behavior while promoting accountability and change. Participants explore the root causes of violence, the role of power and control, and the effects of abuse on partners, children, and families. Through guided discussion, reflection, and practical exercises, the program encourages empathy, emotional regulation, and the development of nonviolent communication and conflict resolution skills.
This course integrates evidence-based principles and focuses on building self-awareness, responsibility, and respect in relationships. Participants learn how to recognize triggers, challenge harmful beliefs, and replace abusive behaviors with healthy, solution-focused strategies. By fostering education, reflection, and accountability, the program helps break cycles of violence and supports long-term personal and relational growth.
