Co-Parenting Class
Parenting Through Separation and Divorce is a trauma-informed, research-based course designed to guide parents, guardians, and caregivers through the emotional, legal, and developmental challenges that accompany family transitions. The program explores how separation and divorce influence children at different developmental stages and offers age-appropriate strategies to strengthen connection, predictability, and resilience. Parents learn to communicate effectively, reduce conflict, and create routines that promote safety and stability while supporting their child’s emotional growth.
Participants gain an understanding of Nebraska’s Parenting Act, including the creation of parenting plans, safety provisions, and transition strategies that prioritize the child’s best interests. The training also addresses abuse, neglect, and high-conflict dynamics, emphasizing empathy, accountability, and collaboration. By the end of the course, parents leave with practical tools, community resources, and renewed confidence to co-parent with respect and consistency, helping their children heal and thrive through change.
