Our vision is a future where every young person and family has access to trusted, community-rooted support that empowers them to build brighter futures. To achieve this, we promote positive youth development, reduce juvenile recidivism through just and evidence-based interventions, provide personalized case management, and support rehabilitation with trauma-informed mental health, substance abuse, and family services. Melissa Wood
President + CEO
Melissa Wood, the founder of Legal Family Services, has dedicated herself to social services and probation since 2002. She has been on the front lines, witnessing firsthand the critical needs within the industry.
Melissa believes that everyone needs support to navigate the legal system and everyone deserves someone who is on their side. Her journey isn’t just professional, it’s deeply personal. Every interaction, every story, and every setback fueled her passion to create something different.
Jade Meusch
Director of Operations + Data Management
Jade brings creativity, structure, and heart to every program she develops. With a passion for helping individuals rebuild confidence and independence, Jade focuses on creating accessible, trauma-informed services that bridge the gap between professional development and personal growth. Her work centers on building systems that empower youth and families to reach their fullest potential. Guided by compassion and a belief in second chances, Jade’s leadership ensures that every service offered by Upward Pathways is not only effective but meaningful.
